Funding Support Service – Overview and Guidance

Purpose

The Glasgow & Clyde Valley (GCV) Green Network Partnership’s Funding Support Service aims to increase the funding and income available to develop and sustain the Glasgow & Clyde Valley Green Network.


Achieved Through

  • Supporting GCV Green Network Partnership’s delivery organisations to access and secure funding
  • Enhancing the fundraising and income generation skills of the Partnership’s delivery organisations.


Service Availability

  • Highest priority will be given to organisations partnering delivery of the GCV Green Network Partnership’s flagship projects.
  • Priority will also be given to partner organisations engaged in delivering all other the GCV Green Network Partnership projects.
  • Support will also be available to any organisation contributing to the development and sustaining of the Glasgow & Clyde Valley Green Network.


Scope of Service

Funding and income generation support will take the following forms;
  • Advice - tailored to the needs of the organisation to ensure it meets potential funders requirements and maximises income generation.
  • Assistance - in undertaking feasibility studies, business planning, community consultations, brokering funding partnerships.
  • Co-ordination - maximising income, reducing duplication, developing consortia and compiling large scale, multi donor applications.
  • Identification of funding sources - detailing existing, alternative and emerging sources, European, Scottish, UK governments, trusts, corporate, individuals, appeals, overseas etc.
  • Quality Assurance – reviewing applications to maximise successful outcomes.
  • Training – to enhance staff & volunteers fundraising skills and tailored to the specific needs of individual organisations.


Eligibility

The service is free to all organisations directly engaged in delivering and sustaining the GCV Green Network in the Glasgow & Clyde Valley Region (East Dunbartonshire, East Renfrewshire, Glasgow City, Inverclyde, North Lanarkshire, Renfrewshire, South Lanarkshire and West Dunbartonshire).
