|
The Partnership's ‘Adding Value' Campaign has been officially launched by Environment Minister Roseanna Cunningham MSP.
The campaign is aimed at informing local authorities about the added value the Partnership is bringing through its activities.
The Campaign will promote the work of the Partnership through a new website and campaign pack.
It is hoped that stakeholders will use the new website to learn more about projects of interest to them and get involved in the development of local Green Network projects.
Across the whole GCV region, the Partnership's Vision is to transform the environment improving lives and communities and contribute toward creating an attractive setting for business investment.
Through its work programme the Partnership is facilitating delivery of the Green Network by adding value to the work of others, for example by levering in investment and contributing to the delivery of outcomes.
The Partnership's new website will be a good platform through which partners can learn about good practice projects
Max Hislop, Programme Manager for the Partnership said, "One of the keys to the success of the GCV Green Network Partnership will be to encourage local authorities to get involved and put the Green Network at the heart of a wide range of projects to ensure a high quality of life for the people who live and work in the area."
At the launch, Roseanna Cunningham said "Through its substantial body of work, the Glasgow & Clyde Valley Green Network Partnership is adding value to the work of many organisations who are helping to transform the area into a greener place for the benefit of people and businesses.
"The Partnership has tapped into many resources and key stakeholders and is making a real difference. This influence is to be ramped up further and over the next few months the Partnership will be spreading the message through a variety of publications, guidance and briefings.
"This is good news for the immediate area but also in adding further impetus to the development and aims of the Central Scotland Green Network, which is revitalising an area in which 70 per cent of Scotland's population live." |
“This project will not just transform the living and working environment for nearly two million people.
